I'm travelling to Amsterdam and wanted to find the best flight for my wife and son to join me. What I found was pretty bonkers.

Round trip tickets for $625.00. I typically google the crap out of my potential conference trip time periods and try to find good deals up front and well in advanced.

For these tickets I knew that Iceland was a potential great layover geo wise. I got pretty lucky finding roundtrip ticket with IcelandAir from both Chicago and San Francisco.

Does anyone else have any amazingly cheap travel tips?
