Early last year, I made it a priority to start using GitHub regularly. As someone aiming to become a developer, I knew that mastering Git was essential. My GitHub repos reflected my organized nature, but they were primarily designed with utility in mind.

Today, I took a significant step in revamping my GitHub presence to better showcase my skills. I archived two inactive repositories and updated my Codecademy repo by creating a dedicated space to highlight my projects for prospective employers. This idea came to me earlier this week while I was considering how my projects would be viewed if hosted publicly, and after a conversation with my mentor. The result is a much cleaner, more professional look.

Maintaining a 30,000-foot view of my journey is crucial, and taking time to reflect helps me stay aligned with my goals. While tidying up my repos, I also explored some valuable developer insights. I stumbled upon a blog by Vadim Kravcenko, who offers practical, next-level advice on dev careers. His insights resonated with me, providing a fresh perspective on my own path. Just a heads-up—he also runs a business, so you might encounter a few ads along the way.
