Seeking Advice on Choosing the Right Tech Stack for Building new website

JacobWoord - Aug 22 - - Dev Community

Hey All,

I'm looking for some advice from experienced web developers on the best tech stack to use for building scalable, SEO-optimized websites.

A bit of background: I work at a software development company as a C# Developer, and we've been using Blazor for our current website. While Blazor has been great in some respects, we've run into a few challenges. The development process has also been time-consuming, and we're now looking to streamline it as we prepare to build another website for a new software product.

Since I'm the only developer working on the website, I need to choose carefully which path to take now, as the website needs to be finished within 5 weeks. The functionalities that need to be integrated aren't too complex at first, as it mainly needs to showcase our latest products. Later on, users will need to be able to download new versions of the software from the website after some authentication.

Given that my experience is mostly in C# with only basic knowledge of JavaScript, I don't think I can complete the project within this timeframe if I choose options like React.

requirements:

  • SEO optimization:** Our new site needs to rank well on search engines, which was a challenge with Blazor.
  • Lead info collection: We need robust tools to gather and analyze visitor data.
  • Customizability: Since we're a software development company, we need full control over the code to implement custom features as needed.
  • User authentication: We want to build in a login mechanism for users to download content or access certain features.

In addition to considering options like React with Next.js, Vue.js with Nuxt.js, I'm also strongly considering using WordPress in combination with Elementor tools.

WordPress is appealing due to its extensive plugin ecosystem and built-in support for SEO, but I’m concerned about whether it will fully meet our needs in terms of scalability, performance, and the ability to integrate custom code.

Questions:

  1. How do these stacks compare in terms of ease of development, scalability, and SEO performance?
  2. If you've used WordPress with Elementor, do you find it flexible enough for custom development, especially for features like user authentication?
  3. Are there any other technologies or frameworks I should be considering?
  4. What would you recommend based on the criteria I've mentioned?

Any insights, experiences, or advice would be appreciated! .
