This year’s js13kGames competition brings 189 new tiny size-constrained games - congratulations to every single one of you who managed to submit an entry! Now it’s time to vote and pick the winners of the 13th , anniversary edition.

Voting runs online for three weeks between September 15th and October 4th , with the winners being announced on October 5th. If you participated and submitted your entry, you can now judge other people’s games and provide them with a vote. This means playing the games, scoring them with the five star rating based on the criteria: Theme , Innovation , Gameplay , Graphics , Audio , and Controls , plus providing written feedback of what you think went well and what could’ve been improved.

Try to write in a way YOU would like to receive feedback about your own game. Our panel of experts will play your games and provide their feedback too. The WebXR and Decentralized categories will have their winners picked by dedicated judges. Anyone can log into the app and leave their comments though, so feel free to encourage friends and coworkers to join as well.

The voting app is the same as in the last two years: log in with your GitHub account, visit an entry’s page, play it, and cast your vote. Even more, that app now became THE new, main js13kGames website, so the legendary “new backend” (written in Rust, and eagerly waiting to show up its sources on GitHub) is finally here. It is still missing a lot of things we wanted to add, but let’s call it a 0.1 version which will grow, fill with content and functionalities in the coming months.

The order of the games throughout the voting period will change - right now at the top are the ones submitted first to promote sending the games early. In the next few days the order will change to random, and a few days before the deadline it will switch to showing the ones with least votes at the top.

Ps. Don’t forget about two things. First, write a Post Mortem about your game - how you started, what went well, what you’ve struggled with and what you’re proud of. Second, the Arcadia challenge from the Decentralized category is still open (until September 26th), so feel free to submit your entry into the platform to possibly win extra funds on top of the regular prizes.
