An ode to Slash Commands

Nikolas - Aug 14 - - Dev Community

Hey devs,

One of the things we wanted to achieve when building Fusion was to give developers complete freedom in designing and testing APIs without having to navigate a cluttered interface.

This is why we introduced slash commands - as a simple / clean, (yet powerful) way to build API requests exactly how developers want.

Here’s why we love them ❤️:

  • Fluidity & Flexibility: Just type a slash and add whatever you need request headers, body, documentation text, code blocks, example requests/responses, tests or more - without leaving your flow.

  • Clean & Intuitive: No more digging through endless menus. Fusion keeps your workspace organized and focused, so you can get more done.

  • Power ups: You can use built-in integrations to connect with your existing workflows including Jira, Confluence etc.

In a way, what we wanted to achieve is cut out the noise, so developers can focus on building great APIs their own way.

📌 We are constantly rolling out new slash commands to make the experience even better. Got ideas or feedback? We’d love to hear from you in the comments. 👇
