Refer to the mind map below, titled ‘Preface’, which sets the context of the evolving presence and solutions of AI throughout the entire lifecycle/methodology. Vendors are releasing solutions that augment activities in each testing phase. Currently, AI is under development, fueled by generative AI (Gen AI), and improving its enablement across all phases from design to reporting, which represents Stage 1 of the transformation. Subsequently, Stage 2 will introduce a new dimension by preparing the groundwork for the ‘Autonomous’ evolution throughout the entire test lifecycle, primarily leveraging large language (LL) multi-modal models.

Tricentis also offers tools and solutions for performance testing and has recently acquired the ‘Testim’ platform, which primarily focuses on mobile cloud solutions. Additionally, Tricentis continues to develop AI-powered solutions and assistants, such as copilots, that support various testing segments, from design to automation to reporting. In this context, Tricentis offers an AI-powered solution for JIRA customers who use the Tricentis Test Management platform.
Refer to the mind map below, ‘TTM for JIRA — Overview’ In brief, it targets customers who use JIRA as a project management platform for their product delivery and integrates TTM as a test management tool. This integration works as an extension within the JIRA platform, like other integrations available in the Atlassian Marketplace. Once TTM for JIRA is configured on the JIRA platform, it offers a comprehensive test management solution from requirements to reporting. In this context, Tricentis leverages the power of Generative AI to scan and read requirements and user stories to frame possible test cases. It generates test cases with detailed steps and posts them as issues in the JIRA platform, seamlessly integrating with the existing test management lifecycle. Additionally, it can generate defects for failed test cases, with detailed steps and necessary components attached. This solution supports the auto-generation of test cases, which can be manually reviewed to ensure coverage of all requirements and fulfillment of all test conditions.
