How My Background Led to ERFlow: Revolutionizing ER Patient Queues

Reza Husain - Sep 2 - - Dev Community

Growing up with two older siblings who both pursued careers in the medical field, I was naturally drawn to the world of healthcare. Their stories of working long hours to save lives were inspiring, but I also became aware of the challenges they faced. From overcrowded emergency rooms to patients waiting for hours, it was clear that the process of triaging and treating patients efficiently was far from perfect.

On top of that, I worked in a hospital warehouse for little while over the past year, supplying various medical products to different departments. It was eye-opening to witness the inner workings of the hospital, especially in emergency situations. The constant rush of patients, doctors, and nurses made me realize how crucial timing and organization were in life-or-death situations.

These experiences inspired me to combine my love for technology with my understanding of hospital dynamics. I wanted to build something that would alleviate the pressure on medical staff while ensuring patients were treated quickly. That's how the idea for ERFlow was born. ERFlow is a web application designed to streamline the queue management process in emergency rooms, allowing patients to be triaged and treated more effectively.

ERFlow is my way of contributing to the medical field, ensuring that patients get the care they need faster and more efficiently.
