This is quite unique, I mean its my story also where I have learnt my way from my first PHP code when I was a newbie where I did some simple database call to pull up some information and display it neatly using tables ah those days are gone but guess what now we have so much of fancy stuff and more problems to work on. I was introduced by open source tech and yes I was part of the activism I didn't know what I was signing up but it felt right so then I contributed to Apache , Linux and other cool open source projects and I regularly tinker with open source product. Yes you can make a career out of it like normal people do just that requires a bit of values and discipline.
