SN74HC138 is a 3-to-8 line decoder/demultiplexer manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is a 16-pin dual in-line package (DIP) integrated circuit (IC) that is used to decode binary information from three inputs to eight outputs.Description: The SN74HC138 is a high-speed CMOS 3-to-8 line decoder/demultiplexer fabricated with silicon gate C2MOS technology. It has three active-low inputs (A0, A1, A2), an active-low enable input (G1), and eight active-high outputs (Y0–Y7). When enable input is low, all outputs are low. When enable input is high, the three inputs select one of the eight outputs.Features:- High speed operation- Low power consumption- High noise immunity- High output current- Low input current- Outputs can be connected to form a 1-of-16 decoderApplications:- Address decoding- Data routing- Multiplexing/demultiplexing- Memory decoding- Logic gating(For reference only)
