Hello!

I have never ever liked social networks. I have no idea why people like to have other people (mostly strangers) know about what they do for a living, or what they do for fun, or know about their family, etc. It's beyond me how so many people like disclosing personal information.

So here I am, 48 years old and without ever creating a Facebook account. My accounts for Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok are merely to consume, never to publish.

So why am I on Mastodon? In a few words: I like the per-server, topic-based approach. I have neighbors with similar interests and I can go ahead and expand my horizons if I want.

I found a .Net-specific Mastodon server. That convinced me. :-) Apparently some Microsoft hotshots are there too. I'll let you guys know.
