Did you know that the first Mysore Pak is said to have been prepared by a palace chef named Kakasura Madappa during the rule of Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV? So that’s somewhere between 1902 to 1940. To be more specific, the sweet was invented around 1935. And in another 10 years in 2035, it’ll complete its first century. Cool. Well, we’ll show you another cool thing – a sugar free mysore pak recipe for our diabetic and health conscious friends because why should they miss out on the fun huh? Huh huh?

Ingredients

  1. Besan - 3 cups
  2. Ghee - 2 cups
  3. Sweetify stevia sweetener - 2 cups
  4. Water - 1 cup See, only 4 ingredients for mysore pak. Cooool.

How to Make
*Step 1: * Sieve the besan flour and keep it aside.

Step 2: Take a kadhai, add ghee and heat it on a slow flame.

Step 3: Take another pan, add the water and Sweetify and mix well.

Step 4: Now, slowly start adding the sieved besan kept aside in step 1. Do it gradually because adding all in one go might make lumps form in the mixture.

Step 5: Keep stirring, when the mixture turns frothy, shift it to a new bowl.

Step 6: Add the hot ghee in 3 to 4 batches and keep mixing. Do so until the ghee is mixed properly in around 5 to 7 minutes. Do not stop stirring.

Step 7: Let it rest for an hour and cut it into preferred eating size & shape and enjoy. You can even top and garnish it with whatever you like.
