The Open Network (TON) and its native token have faced various issues recently, some unrelated to the project itself. After network outages last week due to high demand for the DOGS meme coin, TON's price suddenly dropped by over 90% on CoinMarketCap, falling from $5.2 to about $0.3 in minutes—a 94% decrease.

This crash wasn't due to a problem with Toncoin or its team but was instead linked to a glitch on the CoinMarketCap platform. Users reported the issue on social media, and TON's price quickly returned to $5.2. No other exchanges reported such a drastic price drop.

Despite these setbacks, including the outages and a price error, Toncoin remains active in the market. Adding to its challenges, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, a supporter of the project, was arrested in France recently and faces several preliminary charges.
