Everyone knows that Apple is full of inventions, but what about the influence of its products on the environment? Its products change the world in many ways in such areas as Macs iPhones, and the like. What we need to understand are these effects so that we can make the right conclusion.

First, let us consider Apple products’ cost of production, which uses expensive resources solely because of Apple’s exclusivity. In manufacturing computers and phones, some of the important materials are metals such as aluminum and rare earth elements. Regrettably, the resources identified through mining for these elements often cause impairment to ecologies. Environmental degradation and land degradation are other familiar issues in the mining areas. For instance, cobalt that is applied in batteries can be sourced from regions with low standards in environmental responsibility. Apple has tried to source these materials from ethical sources, although this can be seen not to be entirely the case. The use of the reclaimed material shall enable the company to rely little on the fresh mining.

Second, there is an escalating problem with e-waste. As a technology matures, it is discarded; and newer technology replaces it. Some of them end up in landfills where they discharge the substances which are said to be hazardous. For example, when lead and mercury pollute the population and water, it raises question on its impact on human health and the ecosystem. Apple incorporates its trade-in program to encourage recycling. Recycling: returned items and the like; users may return old gadgets to be properly recycled. This follows the spirit of wasting recycling and minimizes the formation of trash.

The last external stakeholder that is affected by Apple’s production process is the environment. Production leads to the discharge of pollutants and the consumption of power. As for its buildings, Apple makes such investments in renewable energy sources. For example, all of the energy consumed in its data centers is renewable. However, there are concerns about the carbon footprint of the production. The company strategy is to become carbon net zero by the year 2030. This means improving the efficiency of the products it sells and reducing emissions through the supply chain.

However, the global impact that Apple has is large but not so much negative that it is extremely damaging to the environment. Same as the previous business, the business is reducing emissions, promoting recycles, and using recycled products. The following are ways that as customers we can assist with these initiatives; *By choosing environmentally friendly products from the market *Recycling old undesirable electronic items. Contributing to a greener future is made easier when we are aware of these effects.
