Auvik is a cloud-based network management software that gives you instant insight into the networks you manage and automates complex and time-consuming network tasks.
If you use Auvik for network management, you can integrate it with Squadcast, an end-to-end incident response tool, to route detailed alerts from Auvik to the right users in Squadcast. This blog is a step-by-step guide that will help you set up Squadcast-Auvik Integration.
**
Using Auvik as an Alert Source
**
Step 1: **Navigate to **Services then to Service Overview and select or search for your Service.
Step 2: Expand the accordion and in the Alert Sources section click Add.
Step 3: Select Auvik. Copy the displayed Webhook URL **to configure it within Auvik. Finish by clicking **Add Alert Source and then on Done.
Please Note: When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
Creating a Squadcast Webhook Alert in Auvik
**
Step 1: Log in to your Auvik dashboard. Navigate to the Integrations section, click on ADD INTEGRATION and select Webhook.
Step 2: Enter the Integration Name and paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the Webhook URL placeholder. Then click on SAVE.
Step 3: Now, under the** Manage Alerts** section select Notification Channels. Then click on ADD NOTIFICATION CHANNEL.
Step 4: Enter the Name and select Webhook as Contact Method. Then pick up the previously created integration and click on SAVE.
There you go. You have successfully implemented the integration. Now, you can add these notification channels to various alerts! Your Auvik integration is now complete. Whenever Auvik fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Once the Cleared alert is sent, it will automatically be resolved in Squadcast as well.
