The LTC1298 is an 8-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package) CMOS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured by Linear Technology Corporation. It is a low-cost, low-power, high-speed, 8-bit successive approximation ADC.Description:The LTC1298 is an 8-bit successive approximation ADC that features a high speed conversion rate of up to 1.2 MSPS (million samples per second). It has a low power consumption of only 5.5 mW at 1 MSPS, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. It also features a low input capacitance of only 2.5 pF and a wide input voltage range of 0 V to 5 V.
