Calling all Data Nerds

Adi Polak - Nov 24 '20 - - Dev Community

Happy to share that my colleagues are organizing a Data Week and I'm joining them for a panel to share my insights on Career in Data.

Why Data is important for your career?

Well, data is all around us, we use computers that produce logs, we send text, images, and video messages, our e-books are pieces of data. Our social media compiles to data on social media companies servers and Databases. and many more.

Basically, every bit/byte/signals that a computer produces can be translated and saved as data on disk, or as a Data in memory. After it got saved, we can do great things with it, like helping humanity, calculating the best prices - as Airbnb did for renters, offering new people to follow like Twitter, defend the world from cyber-attacks, and many more.

ok. got it, got it, many scenarios where data helps, but where can I learn more about it? you've said something about a data week, what is that?!

Data week is a full week of celebrating everything Data & Data Technologies! Data week includes expert panel discussions on industry trends & the future of data, AMA events with Microsoft Engineers and Product Managers, plus hands-on demonstrations and workshops with the engineers who built (and are still building) the tools! it's a week of Data-Related learning!
